A free Event Management course which includes a work placement in a local music festival?
The course will give you a basic introduction to all the areas involved in running and managing an outdoor event and will include aspects of:
- Stage Management and Sound
- Working with Fireworks
- Health and Safety
The course will allow you to work in teams and build your knowledge in essential areas such as finance, first aid, risk assessment, publicity and marketing and customer care skills.
Working with Industry Specialists you will receive a reference at the end of the course, links to local festivals and potential employers and a Certificate of Achievement.
Dates of the course:
- Thursday 15th July - 10-4pm
- Thursday 22nd July - 10-4pm
- Thursday 29th July - 10-4pm
- Thursday 5th August - 10-4pm (on-site)
- Thursday 12th August - 10-1pm
Plus one-day placement at the Gig in the Park Festival on either 7th or 8th August. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory. Expenses such as travel and childcare will be paid for.
