- Anna; A 22 year old unemployed female from a single parent family with a state school education and a degree in Cultural Studies is now considering a career in arts and museums work.
- Jamie; Jamie, aged 17, from Luton in Bedfordshire participated in the Get Into Construction programme which ran Luton in July 2009.
- Rebecca; Rebecca, aged 18, from Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire participated in the Get Into Hospital Service programme which ran with East & North Herts NHS Trust in June 2009.
- Samora; After graduating from Hertfordshire University with a degree in Fine Art, 25 year old Samora returned to his home town of Wisbech. A keen artist, Samora was eager to work in the arts and develop his practice in community settings.
- Sarah; Is 25 and has sensory and mobility impairments. She is currently unemployed and not in education but with big aspirations to work in the arts.
- Zoe; Aged 18, from Letchworth Garden City in Hertfordshire participated in the Get Into Hospital Service programme which ran with East & North Herts NHS Trust in June 2009.
- Tailor: First made contact with Zinc as a participant at an anger management project with Epping Forest Connexions when she was 14. Tailor has shown a keen interest in Zinc as an organisation and it’s work ever since. Now aged 17 Tailor holds no qualifications but the Team East for Skills project has enabled Zinc to support and nurture her aspirations to participate more in Zinc’s work
- Amanda: 18yrs - had been unemployed for 6 months, looking and applying for jobs on a daily basis with no luck. During this time she has been claiming Jobseekers Allowance and becoming increasingly disheartened and disillusioned, finding it difficult to believe she will find a job.
- Stuart: 20yrs - had been unemployed for at least 6 months, having done a variety of jobs including roofing work for a local business. Due to the roofing work, he had sustained injuries and was unable to continue with this type of work.
