Over 1546 people to date have participated in the programme, 200 now have jobs and 176 are now volunteering and 269 people have moved into job searches or further learning

Norfolk and Suffolk Year Two

November 4th - 16th 2010 & 20th December - Ipswich
On Monday 20th December, Big Mouth Piano Tales present their touring show ‘The Snowman’ at Gainsborough Library. This will be an interactive performance suitable for young children and their families performed by storyteller Frances M Lynch and pianist Mark Troop. We are looking for volunteers to help us make it happen and in return we will provide you with formal training, a certificate of achievement and support with moving into employment, education or volunteering. You will work with industry professional trainers to find out about what it takes to run an event, get actively involved in setting up the event - including event design and budgeting, ticketing & marketing sessions, performer & audience liaison, health and safety - as well as working on developing confidence and communication skills and much, much more.

August 27th - September 24th 2010 - Great Yarmouth
Open Air Event Management Work in teams and build your knowledge in essential areas such as health and safety, finance, first aid, risk assessment, publicity and marketing and customer care skills. Working with an experienced tutor, you will receive a reference at the end of the course, links to local festivals and potential employers and a Certificate of Achievement having undertaken a two hands on days of work experience and volunteering at ‘Out There’ Festival. Suitable for 18+ Delivered in partnership with SeaChange Arts.

July 15th - August 12th 2010 - Halesworth
Open Air Event Management Work in teams and build your knowledge in essential areas such as health and safety, finance, first aid, risk assessment, publicity and marketing and customer care skills. Working with an experienced tutor, you will receive a reference at the end of the course, links to local festivals and potential employers and a Certificate of Achievement having undertaken a two hands on days of work experience and volunteering at Gig in the Park. Sessions run on a Thursday. Suitable for 18+ Delivered in partnership with Gig in the Park

July 7th - August 18th 2010 - Suffolk
TBC Bronze-level training in job search and CV development alongside Computer Aided Design and IT specifically tailored to Lone Parents in Suffolk and South Norfolk. Delivered in partnership with Workwise Suffolk.

July 5th – 8th 2010 – Bury St Edmunds
Get in the Game - a chance to meet new people, build your confidence, learn about ways into work and learning through sports, develop some new skills in event organisation and get you involved in a local, live sports-event! Delivered in partnership with Inspire International

June 2nd – 30th 2010 – Suffolk
TBC Training in job search and CV development alongside Computer Aided Design and IT specifically tailored to Lone Parents in Suffolk and South Norfolk. Delivered in partnership with Workwise Suffolk.

April - August 2010 - Bury St Edmunds
Rolling Programme of Computer Aided Design, Woodwork, Interview Techniques, CV Writing. Delivered in partnership with Workwise Suffolk to adults recovering from mental ill health.

April 22 – May 22nd 2010 - Norwich
Warm Up! A Team East for Skill initiative is a FREE 10 hour programme to develop new skills and get you involved in the Norfolk and Norwich Festival 2010! Introductory training sessions are 21st April OR Tuesday 27th at OPEN, London Street, Norwich - 6pm - 9pm. Suitable for 18+ Training delivered in partnership with Norfolk & Norwich Festival and Culture Works.
